Where does dash boost guage get reading?

My dash boost guage reads a lot lower than my HKS one.

Im obviously relying on the HKS one but I was just wondering where the dash one gets its readings from and why is it lower?

dash gets its reading from the map sensor mate.....

If my boost gauge is getting it from the manifold and my MAP sensor is reading lower, would that signify a problem?

Not really.
The standard boost gauge in the dash is pants.

Keep relying on your HKS unit.
