Which exhaust on a lowered car? Keeps scraping

Hi guys

Which exhausts have you got fitted on your lowered V's and do you have any problems with clearance? My Blitz Nur Spec does not like speed bumps or bumpy roads as the centre section continually bangs into the ground, and is the likely reason why my manifold has cracked three times :(

Cheers

if its got a flexi, then shoud not crack the manifold, that sounds like a lack of manifold bracing....
or worn engine mounts..

back to exhaust, i run a zisco system, so its pipe work is larger then a nur spec, and i dont hit any speed bumps, it has a little bit just after flet that is bent to raise the middle pipe up closer to heat sheild..

its close, but doesnt hit..

hi mate,

used to have a HKS Superdragger on my lowered glanza.. it banged on a lot of bumps..

Got myself a Japspeed system now.. bigger bore . better built, better sound, better quality, better price... and better fitment. also it suses all OEM mounts perfectly no adjusting or anything..

makes me wander why people pay for over priced jap stuff... JDM band wagon i guess lol.

hasn't hit the cross member or anything. not a sound from it... other than the roar lol..

i also often caryy my Full drum kit in my car which lowers it alot as you can imagine and its still absolutely fine. :)

GET ONE lol.

seriously impressed by my japspeed system.. honestly you cannot go wrong with that system..

Well first thing I'll get checked will be the mounts. It's going to the tuners tonight for a couple of weeks so i'll ask them to see if they can raise it or adjust it so it's better.

ive never had any problems with my super dragger, apexi or 5zigen!

Is your car lowered ? my super dragger sat flush with the bumper so it couldn't have gone any higher, and it still hit the bumps.. was yours fitted to a glanza or Gt..
interesting that yours was fine ..

custom.. & flexed!

i've got a kakimoto alu exhaust and it used to scrap lots, but i realized that that's coz it was set up wrongly, with an under-sized mid-pipe that was badly welded and hung too low plus oversize rubber hangers. as i did my td04 conversion, got a proper 2.5" mid-pipe and added some flexi to it. i have it braced at two points so that it wiggles less and using much sturdier hangers as well. i've only gone out twice to drive so far and i must say it's way better than before even though when you look at the car from the side at a distance, you can still spot the exhaust hanging a tad lower than the rest of the undercarriage. like bumblebee says, if you go custom, you can never go wrong.. :)
