Which rpm signal wire to tap into for safc?

Hi guys, in relation to my last post i have figured that the rpm signal wire must be incorrect to a degree?

When looking at the apexi instructions it gives 2 rpm signal wires - one for ordinary (rpm1) and one for multiple (rpm2). which one should i wire in?

currently ive gone for rpm 1, and am getting a minimum of about 4000 rpm on idle instead of 1200 rpm which the rev counter was reading?

Also will this affect the running of the car, as everything else seems to be fine otherwise?

Yes mate, bought it from a member on here a little while ago.

It has the option for number of cylinders and throttle position sensor (although being an ep82 mine doesnt utilise it.) I had to reset the cylinders from 6 to 1 ( sounds strange but seems to be what it needs as 4 is for a toyota v8!).

I keep looking the through the instructions and instillation guide, but get nowhere, even initiated the data to try and get back to factory settings. whether i did this correct i dont know!! :doh:
