225 tyres..

anyone put some 225 tyres on some 15" x 7j wheels on a starbo on the front? looking at toyo r888's but the only 45 profile they do is 225 wide..

pics would be nice :kiss:

Crazyglanza and i r rolling on 215/40/16 on the front, keeping in mind that we both have wider fender's.
Cruise on crazyglanza and zep on mine, would definitely rub on standard fenders

my slicks are 225 and they fitted on my 6.5" rim but they are about 55 15
i run 205 50 15 on my daily wheels

anybody got pics with some on? she sits quite low currently on 45's so just thinking about clearance if i put on 50 profile's

toby posted a pic of 165/50 888s stretched.

888s are a bigger compared to a normal tyre even thought they are the same measurments 195/50/15s, 888s are still bigger.

Sigh, wider tyres dont give more grip. The better compound on a 888 will give mroe grip but a 225 888 will offer the same grip as a 195 888. Its to do with the reaction force off the road which is a component of the vehicle weight.
