It'l come, dont worry! For those that say its impossible to get used to..well its not at all. You'l forget about the pedals in a week or two. To give you an idea on mpg, myself and my buddy get fairly simialr mpgs..(My GT is about 175bhp or so) I get very slightly more but we have similar driving styles, generally around 26-32mpg depending. Hope that helps!

p.s tyre pressue!!! Can make the world of difference;)

cool cant wait for some pics and results :):)and i could nt give a shit what you drive as a second car its there basically to be abused until you get your car road ready so its better to abuse a saxo rather than another starlet ha ha ,saxo FTW :rockon:

To make the brake pedal feel a bit firmer adjust the brake bar that runs accross the firewall.

I did that on my old gti and with my wilwoods it made it feel much better.

differences between vtr and vts
vts has dohc 16v
bigger wheels
closer ratio toughened gearbox

vts - 800kg - 120bhp - 150bhp per tonne
vtr - 800kg - 90bhp - 113bhp per tonne

vts is 2 sec quicker to 60 and 10 sec quicker to 100

im happy with the saxo as its totally standard.where do u find a totally standard saxo these days, also with the vts being high insurance its more aimed at older people who wouldnt put stupid bodykits on them, and if modify'd its usually subtile engine mods.

A forum is for opinions too and he got one off me if he liked it or not!

Oh and i can say somethings shit when iv been in one and owned one well a VTR but same shell etc

Anyway aint got time for small minded little boys that cant take a bit of banter!

no but you've got time to go to uksc and create thread about tgtt. sad.....

pity i have wrecked my back and im over 6ft as i find it hard to drive.the problem being the seat seems high and the steering wheel dosent have height adjust

pretty much yeah, but im sure the 106 gti has a thicker rear arb by 1mm i think. ive got one in the garage for my ax.

there is probible some other differences imo but not anything major

i think a 106 looks smaller than a saxo even though it has the same chassis

I think their a decent little car for the money i used to drive my brothers one and found it nippy enough not much at all in the difference with a standard starlet the pedal position is a nighmare though dont know what they were thinking with that design.
It has to be said though handling is far superior to the starlet i found it very planted in the corners. also i'v seen a few on the track and what they lack in power they make up for in the corners.
I dont agree with people stereotyping saying scumbags drive certain cars in case you havn't realised there's scumbags driving every cheap performance car civics, saxo's and plenty driving starlets aswell.
Its wrong to say they're a crap car just because they have a few problems its all about how you treat them my bro treated his saxo very well and it never gave him any trouble over 3 years ownership. some people seem so narrow minded the i,v owned civics evo,s a subaru and starlets and the starlet is the most un reliable cars i'v owned still dosent make them a crap car.
