Test has been done by expert racing driver in a completely stock GT new engine 0-100 km/h in 6.9 sec. it depends on driver and also engine set up clutches and Tyre will help you out to decrease the time.spinning wheel can loose up to 2secs mate.

Getting a good time depens on loads of things:
- Good clutch
- Good feel for the clutch pedal (i.e., a good driver)
- Good healthy engine
- Good tires (also, what inch size rims you have)
- Good tarmac

To much wheelspin is bad, no wheelspin of squeeling noice is also bad (for getting the best time).

The Toyota book time is 8.2 secs.

It is lower, no denying that but just thought I'd throw it into the discussion..

Launched my GT yest, at like 4.2k and just let off the Clutch (trd paddle) and no spin at all  I have got an LSD though. Will have to try a little higher and see what happens! :haha:

do you then floor the accelerator after dumping the clutch, or wait a tiny bit then floor it? ie, not exactly as you let the clutch out, but a split second after?

Clutch down, hold it at 4.2k, drop the clutch then floor it :)

Didnt spin up at all, just felt the diff griping side to side and then it was off, i got Toyo T1r tyres aswell, duno how good they are supposed to be?

I also have shorter ratio gears aswell.

I managed 7.5s and that was with silly spin launching, and spin in 2nd on a shitty road. I couldn't seem to launch without stupid amounts of spin in 1st, was basically a burnout! lol

I was holding the revs at 3k, then dropping the clutch but the revs would drop down to around 1k and then build back up again, so do you have to feather the throttle as you launch to keep revs up??
