1.4bar - TD04 - Standard Internals...?

Well it has come to that time where I am going to put my forged engine in. Not because my standard engine has blown up though. Still running strong! We was going to map it 1.6bar but my circumstances have changed and I need the money from selling the engine. Would of been nice to fully push the standard engine till it let go.
Really impressed with the standard engine. Considering it was 130bhp standard and now pushing over 250bhp amazes me. Nick has done a brilliant job with the mapping.
The engine has been pushed very hard in the past few weeks at 1.4bar! Revved upto 7.2k each gear change and raced everything i've seen on the road
So next weekend I shall be putting the engine that Nick built for me in. Really looking forward to having a forged engine, but have been so impressed with the standard engine!!!
Hope this thread have given people abit for confidence in pushing there standard engines

I know people were looking forward to seeing this go pop! But need money and can't afford to throw away £300 at the mo. Shame tho, feel we could of got more out of it!Again, BIG thanks to Nick @ Tuning Developments! Couldn't of done it with the TD crew

was not looking forward to seeing it blow but to take a bit longer before you change it so you can prove they are strong engines.. with or without chicken legs

Yeah really wished I could keep pushing it over a few months to do a proper test, but things have changed Hopefully someone else can carry on this....

def gives confidence for the standard engines. thanks for taking the risk to give the rest of us some interesting/helpful info, all in the name of science and wheeled insanity. Now feel safe giving mine some extra boost.
