1st and 2nd Gears Sticking, Any ideas ?

basically,
from centre to 1st is bad
Removing it from 1st is Very bad
Into 2nd is bad
Removing it from 2nd is bad
into 3rd is fine
Removing it from 3rd to 2nd is Very bad

i sometimes literally have to snap it out.
Ive checked gearbox levels and topped it up untill it was fine, it seemed like it helped for a little bit but problem occurred.

Could this just be a case of Draining the whole gearbox and fresh oil in?
Or could it be something more serious?

Last one I got like that broke a gear linkage cable within a few miles. Could be worth checking mate.
