hi there, Just got a new water pump and It looks slightly different as the old one has a bolt on pulley and the new one is a pressed on type.

there looks to be no difference between them other than one being really shiny and new the pulleys look to be in the same position and angle. does anyone know if all 4e pumps are the same ?

thanks

they both fit. its all up to preference. if you wanted to fit a lightweight pulley for example you could get the bolt on pulley type. either or doesnt matter.

earlier cars came with bolt on type and later ones changed to the press on type.

I think the new one looks quite light as it is! just ported the housing for better flow too ! ;)

Oh I see, I might count them up later.. Ive taken the ridge off the inside of the pump too, can anyone recomend further places to port ?

I wouldnt remove any from where the impellor is, its probably designed to work best at that shape. No harm in removing casting ridges but its not going to make it a super pump.
