4efe turbo conversion??is it worth it for power gains?

I went down the easy route,I bought an n/a. Removed the engine+loom and also the complete interior loom. Then bought a Glanza engine+loom and also a Glanza interior loom. Swapped it all over. Thats the easiest way but there are still diffrences between the 2,that im finding out as i go along. Doing the Glanza "swap" is more expensive but i havnt touched any wires, just simple plug and play

Cal, Have a look through my build thread on UKSC, shows you the dash out ect.

EP82 engine loom and ECU only, running through the NA fusebox, with starting and charging cicuits retained from the NA loom too.

did you do all the wiring yourself?

i have a full ep82 engine loom with fusebox and ECU to match, but not condiced my engine conversion into the n/a yet.

yes, with help from a techy minded mate :)

have you got the map sensor and coilpack/ignitor too? you probably have ;)

like i said earlier, we retained as much of the NA loom as possible, retained the NA fusebox, starting and charging circuits.

you will also find an EP82 loom a tad short so the ECU won't sit where the NA one does.

yea got the ignitor and map sensor. will just get stick into it when the time is right, learn by doing i say, will have to sit the ecu in the ep82 position to the let of the peddles. no big deal as long as it tidy.

How long do you think itll take to fit a loom what diagrams did you use?

Here's a question i was thinking on. "Could" a GT interior loom and engine loom be swapped straight over into a EP91? Going to be issues with length ect. but would it be the same plugs ect?

might do but you would need the gt's dash board, clocks and heater controles i would have thought

Would you though? Are the plugs the same? clocks on the Glanza are 3 long multi plugs, 1xbrown,2 white i think. Go check your GT loom and see if the plugs are the same lol.

for a first timer i would allow at least a week.

used diagrams from this site, and streetlegal starlet as a rough guide but then made our own pinout diagram of both looms and traced every wire to be sure as we found that there is more than one variant of the uk NA engine loom (mine was significantly different to a similarly equipped starlet only one year younger)

when i get chance i will get the notes we made translated to an excel file and host it to help others.
