A few questions about going td04

I know it comes up all the time but I have one or two questions that I'm pretty sure haven't, well one anyway lol.

Firstly, I'm looping the water lines coming out of the thermo housing but the pipe I'm using is just kinking, is this ok? Does the water need to circulate or is it ok being blocked off? Or will I just get a longer bit of hose so it dosent kink?

And secondly for the oil return I bought this, note the shops genius labelling :haha:
My question is will it take the oil ok?

A lot of folks don't run the coolant lines so it will be ok. The hose doesn't look lined so no eventually the oil will eat through it.
