I really wasnt expecting much with the 3 points I had recently acquired, but when I phoned up adrian flux they said the only difference to my insurance quote would be the excess increasing by 100 quid!! great! Hopefuly I'll get my deposit back soon from sky and I can start driving the glanza again, happy days!!

adrain flux is a really good company i think.

just told them about my latest mods, different calipers and discs, rear anti roll bar and changed my coilovers to teins and there was no increase to the premium.

asked about a fmic and they said it would cost me another £35 a year.

they always ask what bhp increase the parts give. how am i meant to know off hand? i said it was all relative to what boost you run so i just said 10bhp as she wanted some sort of figure to work with!?!?! strange system

They are ace, ive the sportif turbo insured with them, with four double side a4's of all the work done, nut and bolt. even down to the plating I used on the bolts, interior strip, braces, internal mods, boost clamp bands brand, silicon hose bends and brand, the heap, covered mod for mod.... fully comp.
my premium? £360.

your a bit cheaper than mine. im paying about £400 fully comp. it seems as though they dont care what mods you do as long as it doesnt increase bhp!?

balls, forgot to mention my toms front grille. ill ring them again in a few weeks. god damn it :(

they rock, the guy I talk to really knows his motors, and asked me 'was I sure it wasnt td04-ed' back when I had ct9. the true test comes when its claim time though lol.

Ive only known one mate to claim from them, when arsonists (his brother is a bit jack the lad) burnt out his entire familys cars, and their garage. He was in a 450 bhp skyline gtst, again insured by them, within 3 weeks of claiming. (he had a v6 cavilier and a v6 rwd nova track car burnt)

I did an online quote with them just out of interest the other day, and was pleasantly surprised. Premium was £425 fully comp with mods declared and power stated as being 190bhp.Thats me being 23 with 4 years no claims. My renewal is due in september and it was £660 with highway last year.

When I phoned them a few years ago they gave me a rubbish quote but I might give them another go since they seem good with modifications.

Do they cover mods like for like?

my latest policy documents state its like for like mod cover. need to prove the mods though obviously.

im with highway through adrian flux. i reckon next time round ill have the power fc on and mapped so i can insure the car as having a certain bhp

Cool, I'm with highway through warwick davis.I don't have anything saying what the mods are though, I told them on the phone but never got anything written to prove its covered with those mods.

Does flux give you something to show the mods are covered?

thats the thing though, if i had the ep82, I could get fully comp for 1k but i'm tpft for 1400, just annoying that there the same power but the prices are so different

the area seems to make alot of difference. plus the prices change from one day to the next.

also alot of the time tpft is more expensive than fully comp?? dont know why?

I tired flux when we got the starlet, they wanted £450 which is £150 more than keith michaels. Only paid £580 full comp for the evo III heavily modded. I know i'm a oldie at 33 compared to some of you young ones lol.

Might be worth you guys trying keith michaels when your insurance is due, mods are covered like for like with them. Never had any problems with them in the 4 years we have been with them.

i rang up keith micheals and he asked me what vehicle i had, i said toyota starlet (didnt even mention glanza or turbo) cudda bin a uk starlet for all he knew...he quickly interupted me sayin no no no we dont insure those at all your wasting your time...when i asked about how other starlet users are getting insured with the comapny he simply replied...'no'. so on that note i ended the call lol, dno whether it was gary who ppl said is the best person to speak to...very unimpressed with the service. :(

aditional mods

I've had my modded mk1 astra insured with a flux for the past 2 years now, they say that you can do anything you like to the car and it wont take the cost up.... except if you increase the bhp and they take your word for it.... which is nice....

recently because a starlet owner and was very please with my quote of £650, 6 points and am 25.
