advantages with an aftermarket manifold?

thinking of getting a manifold but what are the main advantages with them on the glanza? most other cars you would put like a 4-2-1 on but the glanza one is so small so what are the + points in having say an SPS one or the like's?

The standard manifolds are very restrictive through the 3rd runner mate, so altering the boost above say .8 bar can cause damage (which i have done to my GT lol- new engine) so an aftermarket mani will basically allow more power

Go for the WEPR oem replacement mani, they are very nice.

or port ur one and ull get pretty much the same result .thats what i done 218bhp with suporting mods and they dont crack as quick

The manifolds are usually upgraded to remove the restriction (and subsequent reliability issues) of the standard item.

Improved flow of the exhaust gases will offer improved power delivery and a modest power gain. Well worth the expense.

for some lads just take your standerd manifold off a bore the hump out of the 3rd runner to make it flow better with a Dremel

i've just put an aftermarket 1 on n ma standard mani ad two restrictors in runner 2/3???? put de-cat dwnpipe n rs*r straight through system on n car feels alot smoother now

hey guyes i have a stock 4e-fte engine im ready to upgrade my turbo i have to tur bos in my garage to chose from ither a ct-12 or a ct20a which should i go with.

also depands the design of the manifolds. different design can allow in more power / quicker spool etc

x2 wish i had done that instead of getting an sps one.
Mark isnt shy driving his car either and i dont think he has had much or any bother with that manifold
