no Cal, it really wouldn't...those are the things you stick on throttlebodies or small 2-stroke engines...things that require far less airflow than a turbocharged 4-stroke engine

I doubt it would get very much air whilst on the move even through the ram affect and on idle it will get 0 air. Thats why I changed mine back to standard setup, too much faffing about! And the boost creep was maad!

im thinking now of getting some air ducting and passing it along the front of the car and routing it somewhere where i can fit my hks....like from the turbo under near the aircon pipes and under the battery.....i dont know il go have a look now

I like your enthusiasm Cal. its good that your looking for different solutions to the problem. For all those that don't like it, read the thread title, look at the author, that should give you an idea of whether or not it'll be something you want to read.

Give it a go Cal and let us know how you get on.

but have you ever thought of boost creep ?????

you have a standard ct9 turbo so you will get boost creep.... as far as that little air filter it is meant for a scooter or bike not a 1.3 turbo boosting around 10 to 12 psi or even higher the airfilter will probs turn its self inside out lmao

but if you want to try it then try and and report back dont post till you have tryed it :p :shoot:

but as i say go for it no harm in trying i suppose ;)

cut the bottom off a can who's diameter about matches your intake/air filter pipe, drill some holes into the bottom, slip can over intake pipe, slip silicon/air filter over the top, and hoseclamp in place

I think the whole point in relocating the air filter is that the EFI pipe should be removed as it "soaks" heat from the surrounding....[try touching it after a long drive]....i mean since it passes by the rocker cover above the manifold...it doesnt really help to have the air heated this way...[since we r all the time talking abt cold induction]...
And there are not-so-many grand ways of preventing the EFI pipe from absorbing heat from the surrounding, other than removing it.....

right guys i tried it all today....ive came up with a idea that WILL work....when i find some good pipe that doesnt snap....as the ali flexi pipe i bought was pants but worked for a bit!!what i did was jubille it on the turbo and then run it down to the floor....routed it under the bumper and inside the bumper....to the hks filter.....the hks was wedged in the bumper.....it was great at idle and revving it.....never got to take it out for a drive though as it ripped and was ruined.....il have to do it tomoro guys.....just have to find some proper pipe.....dont worry ac guys!!il do this!!

i want one of these but on my car the hard pipe for my air filter at the minute has like a vacum hose on it so if i brought the same wat happens to the vacum pipe? it goes from the hard pipe onto some metal tube tht runs down my block on a 96 glanza?!?!?!?

well since relocating my filter i am hitting 17-18 psi and man does she fly but that is well to much boost lol and why dont ppl jus bring the boost pipes straight up like mine its so easy instead of going over the mani
