Anyone believe in DIET PILLS?

Why not try packing a meal and taking with you, therefor you dont have to eat crap?? its more effort but will save you major calories, then when you have the time go for a walk/jog. you dont have to run.... people say go for a run and mentally you think hard work, but a benificial factor to losing weight is having the right mental setting, so therefore when you think of walking, its easy and does not make you out of breath. walking for an hour burns up a fair few calories, obv running will burn more but only about 50-60, also breakfast is a must... kick start your metabolism in the morning and therefo it will burn more of your fat.. all in all you still have to exercise there is no way out of it... diet pills are not brilliant for your health, 95% of them raise your blood pressure and heart rate, therefor you may start to lose weight as your heart is working harder, but it efffects the rest of your body. yeh i know what your thinking and i am one of them bastard fitness trainers! not my fault lol

I have never had to worry about my weight so no real intrest in dieting or anything like that.

I would not say they are a good idea to be honest.

Regular excercise is far better.

I dont think I've ever been to the gym ever, dont think I would.

If I did I'd just do a half assed job on the bikes and do some perving on nice ladies......

If your not doing anything at the moment then doing any sort of light exercise will help.

A fast paced walk burns alot of fat so dont feel the need to go straight into a run. But how about buying a mini fridge that plugs in the cigeratte lighter of the truck? keep sandwiches etc fresh so u can stop eating crap! lol

cut out any snacking you do is a great start!! make sure you always eat a nice big healthy breakfast it will make you feel so much better through the day!

diet pills do work on supressing hunger slightly but you should rely on pills a controlled diet is much more effective.

By taking a quick fix weight loss supplement isn't going to solve anything as its permanent results you want. You'll need to stick to the basics. :)

Losing Weight comes down to a few different factors lad,
A proper training routine, changes in Nutrition, Rest and Recovery and Supplementation.

I could spent the day talking about the above but I'll skim the surface really fast to give you an better idea.

Now what you should do is start everything in little stages, otherwise if you try and drive off by changing all the above at once you will have a big crash,

So to start off with, the main one is a proper training routine. Again this will vary to what equipment you have access to, like if your training in a gym or home etc????

For the basic's on a training routine, it should consist of primarily Cardio as this is the main area to burn calories. Starting off easy at the start, Ideally 30mins 3times a week is efficient.

If you like I can write out some training routines for you if you let me know what equipment you have access to and how many times a week your thinking of training?

Now nutrition is a hugh area alone, , Even if all your training techniques were correct and you constantly gave 100% in all your workouts, you won’t lose any weight, tone up or shape if your nutrition Isn’t correct.

Now as you know food consists primarily of three sources, Carbohydrates, Protein and Fats. The most important of these for you is protein as you can’t gain weight from good quality Protein sources and it aids in weight loss by muscular recovery by supplying amino acids to the muscle groups.

Carbohydrates and Fats is the hardest part. All your meals throughout the day should consist of a protein source but only your first two meals in the morning should be from Carbohydrate sources if you want to keep your body fat down. This gives you energy for the day but stops you overdosing on Carbohydrates which promotes weight gain.

This Is hard to manage so space out your meals during the day. Consume A meal every three hours if possible to ensure your body is constantly getting topped up with food and remember, a meal can be only the size of your palm for some stages. Try and drive as much protein into your body as you can, You can’t overdose on low fat protein because your body will use up what it needs for repair and expel the rest through waste products

I know it will be hard at the start to start eating so much, so do it in stages, Creap in one extra meal this week and another the week after. Try and pre – pack your meals when going to work and it will save you money and time, even if your totally busy and don’t have time to consume a meal. Drink a supplement shake or even a meal replacement shake to get you through the next few hours till you have time to snack.

Sorry now If I blabbed on a bit I could literly spend the day giving you advice on all the above areas, Again as I said just creap everything in by stages, If you need any more info on the above just give me a shout and I can help you out no probs.

Can i nag at you for training advice and food etc etc?? especially if u can help with how often and long work outs should be etc etc

Yep pills would be bad i reckon. Like any "pills" taking them frequently does bad things to your essential organs heart, kidneys, liver, brain all that stuff.

Even too many vitamin pills are bad now.

I dont have a fridge in work but I just make roll/whatever the night before and fire it in the fridge ready to go wrapped in tin foil and in plastic tub) - tastes fine the next day, beats having to get up and make it, and waste money on fast food etc. I spend enough on fast food at weekends etc than spending on it for lunch.

If youre stuck for time for the gym and you've got a dog, its easy excercise to go for a walk, and jog a few laps round the local park or pitch with the dog chasing, works you and the mutt! Then get some weights at home and put a few reps in, situps, pressups. Keeps the belly at bay.

if your overweight you can go to a pharmacy and ask about lipotrim they do all diffrent sorts and it shifts weight fast you can go on full no food just 2 shakes diet f a maintinace diet ask at you pharmacy kniow a few people who have lost loads as in 10 stone ......

but thats really for if your fat and want to loose it not for a life style

For gods sake dont take any of the drugs some of these guys have prescribed.

ALWAYS check with your doctor first.

I have sympathy with you mate because it must be hard not to eat rubbish if your on the road.


To lose weight, do the following


-Water- drink this all day, fills you up and will aid in the digestive process plus making you feel alert and more likely to do exercise.

-Ditch caffeine- won't help your cravings and will most likely stop you sleeping as well as you should

-Get plenty of sleep- I know it must be difficult with you on the road but sleeping is essential for weight loss.

-Instead of kfc/burger etc. Try and rolls with meat,lettuce and vegetables when you can. Rolls will keep all day and the meat will keep for up to a day.Eat apples,banannas, tinned fruit.

diet pills dont work i tried 3 different types when i was gettin lean in the gym and all they do si make u poo alot i never saw noticable losses during traning so i'd avoid try clenbrtrenol that works but research the risks before hand as if taken incorrectly you could cause yourself some problems

Diet pills are just a load of BULLSHIT!...There is no other way i can put....Stay away...As Mart said...just follow that and you be good to go...

Besides,you shouldnt lose too much weight in a given amount of time....i usually recommend losing around 5kgs [max] in one month.....one thing that we often overlook is dinner.....its always good to have a light dinner.....its the key to avoid putting on weight in excess.....

Some of what you say is true don't touch drugs(pills)without reading up about them(some have side effects on certain people) or getting proffesional advice 1st. Ephedrine is still widely used by bodybuilders of all shapes and sizes even though in certain countries its illegal it is a useful drug if used wisely and make sure you don't take too much at one time (dependant on your size and frame). I have used it myself and its works I tried replacing with ephedra free products before and after but these were poo they never helped me at all.

How you can advise him to ditch caffeine though its a known fact amongst people at the gym that its helps metobolise fat and helps it break down once mixed with a good diet and plenty of exercise.

I do 30mins cardio every morning and do Heavy weight sessions 5 times or more a week for just over an hour.

Nuts are a good source of protein and handy too.

Since this post was started last year I've changed dramatically in my diet and lifestyle and my health is 100% better. Do your research and you will get where you want but you must exercise to get anywhere else your muscles will deteriorate.
