Auto box shudder - now gone

Auto box shudder - now gone at low boost

I had shudder going from 3rd to OD on the auto box and that got really bad when accelerating hard at the change point.
Simple fix - I changed the gear box oil and the shudder has gone.

[ Yes old tran. oil - it felt pretty flat between the fingers it was not pasty nor slippery my guess about 50,000km LOL ]

Edit:
Now getting three slower shudders at about 15 psi and over I think because my ecu doesnt pull timing at gear changes like stock auto ecu.

Good call, I never realised the benefits of fresh atf until I'd already damaged my first box.

It was a ĺesson in maintenance lol.

I'm afraid the damage is done now but have put fully synthetic oil in case it needs a thrashing. The car seems to be running a lot cooler may be a coincidence but the temp gauge has dropped a lot will know more in a few days might be another mystery solved?

Amazing what an oil change can do in an auto box. First thing I would do if trouble started on an auto. You should also do the filter change that jay recently done a write up on
