Wrong side of the bed this morning?

Cant beleive the "holier than thou atitude" get a grip man, like youve never done anything illegal or stupid.

You were speaking for the majority ... i.e "Cant tell me no one here has driven over the limit".

Can you prove this fact? Shouldnt speak for the majority unless you have facts mate, bear in mind not everyone needs to drink either.

ive drove well over the limit before, you take your chances, if you get caught, then unlucky

So the guy who was over the limit when he drove over my cousin, ripping his body in half and then proceeded to drag the upper part of his torso 200 yards down the road was just unlucky?

No, basically, you take the chance, you know the consequences, if you get caught, or something goes wrong, then hardluck, its your own fault. Not saying its right to do it, but it doesnt mean people wont.

And im not talking for the majority, im talking for EVERYONE, Who here, can 100% hold their hands up, and say they have never done anything stupid, or illegal while on the road?

Speeding is just as illegal as been over the limit, so is overtaking on double whites, so is a multitude of other things, and i can garuntee you, everyone on here has done it...

Im not been funny or anything, just saying that its one of those things. People slating him for doing it, he has realised he did wrong,a nd is taking his punishment for it. I dont think he needs to be told by everyone else he did wrong.

its just all the people who are preaching about how it is bad, but unless you can safely say youve never broken any laws, then its a bit hypocritical

IF THIS HAPENS TO ANYONE, GET THE POLICE TO TAKE YOU TO THE STATION AND HAVE A BLOOD TEST, STATING THATS YOU DO NOT BELIVE THE BREATH TEST TO BE ACCURATE, IT WILL TAKE A WHILE FOR THE BLOOD TEST AND IN THIS TIME YOU WILL HAVE LOST A LOT FROM YOUR SYSTEM.
i'm affraid this is the only way to go about it, and to be honest i absolutely dispise drunk drivers, therefore i'm sorry mate but i have no sympathy what so ever. everyone knows it can stay in your system from the night before.
if you didn't know that then ignorance has no place in the law.

gutted you can't drive but sorry mate no sympathy from me its just damm right wrong and probably one of the only laws i DO agree with.

well said mate. its not a case of being lucky or not, its not a game.
its sick people say things like " i got away with it this time " thats sick man really truely sick. you are playing games with other peoples lives. I would have thought that on a car forum i would never ever see this type of behaviour as i truely thought no petrol head would even dare going for a drive after as little as 2 pints through ABSOLUTE FEAR of having their license taken away as driving is their passion and hobby.
i obviously thought wrongly.

the really sad thing is maybe it takes something like this comment above in your life to get you to wake the fuck up about drink driving...

p.s don't write back to me making me out to be a looser at least i understand what you did. i don't really think you have come to terms with it or even begin to understand the seriousness of what you have done.
fair enough you did not kil someone but that still doesn't make it right.
i could fire a gun into a crouded place and not kill anyone it still does not just simply make it luck, it is still uncomprehensively STUPID.
sorry for the rant but i feel very strongly about this.

And so do i? everyone has an opinion.

Everyone has a right to an opinion, i just dont get all the people who are jumped up on their high horse, unless you have never done anything illegal then your a hypocrite to start having a massive go at this guy.

Like i said -

It is illegal
It is JUST AS ILLEGAL AS Speeding, or overtaking on double whites, or parking on double yellows the list goes on.

Illegal is illegal, Wether it is drink driving or speeding, i think people need to stop been so hypocritcal, and jump down off their high horses

Oh, and Durmz, I havent sworn at you or slated you for your opinion, and you really ought to adjust your atitude as its completley out of order.

Ive driven the day after a night out, every single person I know who drinks has driven the next day...I would say if we were to be honest weve all done it (except for the people who dont drink obviously). Ive never not felt up to driving after a night out and ive done it probably 100+ times, never had any issues/caused anyone any issues.

I have stopped doing this, not out of fear that I am not capable to drive but purely because there are more daytime random breath tests everywhere and its not worth the risk.

Getting in a car right after drinking...big no no. Getting in a car 14 hours after your last drink and a good kip and a big greasy breakfast..well..over the limit or not, are you that much of a risk? I do not condone this btw, im just saying I see where ^^^ is coming from with the whole being unlucky thing.

edit: Just seen he blew 71mg...:eek::eek: Holy shit dude..how much did you drink the night before? Ive got a home breathylaser and even after a 'hard' night out im usually nearly clear by 1.30pm!!!

Illegal is illegal, Speeding is, and you can just kill someone that way, and like you have never been distracted by something while driving?

Can easily kill someone with either, and i can garuntee you have done both, so get down off your high horse, and grow the fuck up man...
