iv got BC's on mine, lowered it last week, can only really get one finger between the wheel and arch at a push

when you lowered them did you drop the spring down a bit as well?
if you didnt its the spring thats holding the car up, i made the same mistake, then i dropped the spring a tad when i was setting that up and the car dropped properly

mine look like they could lower the car onto the floor still got a good 30/40mm more i could lower

That is something that you are NOT suppose to do because you just defeated the entire purpose of a dual perch design coilovers.
Not to mention having spring slack (not tight within the coilovers) are a straight MOT and TUV failure, so I wouldn't do that either.

Most Starlet coilovers are actually Tercel specification, and thats why the rear are never low enough as the Tercel have a longer rear damper than the Starlet standard.

If you lower the car using the spring perch on a dual perch coilovers... it mean that the suspension isn't properly designed.
If you must, at least use "helper springs" to take up the slack.
There are many reasons I can think of why you shouldn't have springs slack... but it the one that I didn't think of that always worry me. :(

didnt drop them THAT much lol, i made sure the springs were making good contact and were not loose, wouldnt have left it anyother way

i have the shocks set up to the softest setting and lowered the spring down by about 10mm, its given the car a low look but a firm ride, sits perfect in the corners, the way i have it set will shorten the life of the springs thats for sure but its sitting fine and handles brilliantly

totally agree that doing it this was does kind of defeat the purpose of dual perch springs but i didnt do it for looks, if i did it would be lower :p
