A Tour of the Tollbridges..

The trip home

Euro-less and tired we headed back up North with Gerard leading the way. He paid for all four cars at all three bridges which was seriously kind of him. I'll square you up next time I see you sir!

Cheers to everyone I managed to shake hands with, apologies if I didn't get to you. Everyone was polite, pleasant and enjoying themselves from what I could see. Even the cops were dead on which is a bonus.

Pats on the back all round lads!

actually looking at all those cool pics Im kinda glad I didnt go... my poor car would have been put to shame... Frankie is complaining cause he didnt get a chance to polish his car!! mine has moss growing on it.

@ Jay: Christy faded... I think we may have to review his position

Car of the meet for me belongs to BOV.

Im still awestruck at it, and who would believe I once had it on my driveway, all be it like this:

im truely speechless! the detail is immense, the quality superb. Has a new Irish standard been set? I think so!

I salute you BOV for raising the bar to epic new heights!

not to get all teary eyed guys but seriously it makes it all worth while when you see so many people maintaining and improving these little cars. They all appear to be fine examples and I dont think its a coincidence that the best examples of GT's and Glanzas are proudly owned by members of TGTT.com

Also our traders must look at those pics and feel proud that probably supplied a lot of the parts that went into making them what they are. The same goes for the UK guys and all other members cars we see on the forum.

I know if I were going out to buy a GT/Glanza I would either be buying one from a member on here or from a trader on here - I wouldnt consider looking elsewhere.

Bovs weapon is testament to that, he bought from me way back when, and even though is pretty much running different everything, its spirit lives on, actually that sounds understated. its more like a phoenix than anything

It was a quiet night and I think he needed some shut-eye after the longass drive. We'll give him another chance at the next one sure. :)

haha give me a break lads had one longass drive down, 800kms driven within the 2 days.
Have to say it was a great turnout even though the weather wasnt the best. Some real nice examples of Glanza's & Gt's and nobody messing about.
Have to say the Gardai werent too bad about it.haha. And their great line summed it up 'Right lads we will be back in an hour and we will be checking the cars then'. Didnt see a carpark clear quicker in my life.haha.:p
I think a All Ireland Rolling Road Day sounds good for the next meet, if we can get the same kind of numbers or even more it would be great!!
Big thanks to everyone who made the journey down and the turnout made it worth it even if we did miss topgear :flame:lol.
I have a couple of pics get them uploaded asap.
