are you sure you set the timing right? Even if its just a tooth out then it will run like a bag of very large spanners.

The car was running perfect, then knocked it off and restarted it and this happend

no smoke from breathers

white smoke out of exhuast, thats it

no,we was advise when we took the head to be skimmed not to be skimmed as it was perfect when they tested it

this was all done my my grampa who has been a mechanic for 40 years

ill get a compression test done when i can

this may help you

you know on the top of the rocker cover there are to breather pipes

the one on the right that goes into the throttle body area is not connected

but even so the car run fine for about 20 min

My thought on that would be that it needs to be connected....
Does the PCV not control preasure within the engine, and releive it?

Thats my thought, but could be barking up the wrong tree.

i agreed this with the mechanic,he said it would make a diff

it must be there for a reason, otherwise it wouldnt be there

As Dave said check the vacuum lines. A guy last week phoned me as after the rebuild he did himself the car wasnt working fine and found a pipe going from the water pump pipe to the intake manifold .... you can guess how it was working lol

Mine isnt connected and a few others I did are the same and engine still works fine

yea it didnt make a difference mate

Has your vacuum pipe came off the map sensor on the bulk head? Have you been taking it easy on the engine?

Its a small black box and says boost pressure sensor on it.

My pcv valve is vented to atmosphere aswell.
