yes his racing around annoyed the shit out of me, especially as there was about 6 posts in this thread to be well behaved and no racing.

grow up kids! One of our admins took the time to post a thread about behaving responsibly when at meets. REMEMBER UR REPRESENTING THE SITE WHEN IN PUBLIC!!!

which means all members are liable & responsible for whatever happens at a meet, & if somebody was acting irresponsibly pls report it to a member of staff & the member will be dealt with..

also no matter what u should always be responsible, remember there are ppls life's at stake!! if u dont do it for the site do it for ur loved ones!

thanks Kon. I have re-opened this as Id like the rest of the members views on this sort of crap at meets.

I think this is very serious and had posted a reminder regarding meets and the sort of reputation this site does not want.

The staff are already deciding what to do about this and I would like the members thoughts please.

- You guys organise a meet
- Its months in the planning
- Everyone is excited and puts a lot of work into having their cars ready etc
- People turn up and act like chavs

Do you want members of that type on this site?

Obviously we don't want members associated with us if they are going to act in unacceptable manners at meets, but suppose in fairness they should all be given one chance.

Just lucky that on this occasion no-one got hurt.

As discussed with a few other members in a mini meet after we left Bluewater, a possibility for future meets, particularly if they're going to be as large as this one, would be to involve the police, either in marked or unmarked cars (only one or two would be necessary).

I know some members may complain at this idea, but surely if your car is legal and you have nothing to hide, then there should be no objection, as it'll deter people from misbehaving, and also stop other unwelcome cars (such as the corda last night) turning up.

I wasntthere last night, but I can see the peoples dissapoitment at travelling to attend a meet for it ro be not ruined but disupted by anti social and dangerous bahaviour. Now it is not our place to tell anyone how they can or cannot drive, but I feel its important for all members at TGTT meets to be considerate of actions that may effect the night of other members oreven non members

Credit where credits due, Papa_Nicole did apologise, and I don't want to be a whiny bitch but, I usually avoided meets for that kind of stigma in the first place - largely yesterday was fine as there were a lot of decent people, and people have said that Papa_Nicole was pleasant to talk to as well...but you have to have consideration of your actions.

At a meet you're expected to be responsible as you're giving an impression of the club as a whole...we don't want to be tarnished by such behaviour. Out on the road, that's your own problem, do what you like. Mind you, we shouldn't just gang up on Papa_Nicole, he was not by far the only person to have been acting irresponsibly. Also, whilst people blatting it when entering/exiting, truth be told, it got wearing but that in a way is fine...you're not racing up and down a car park at least.

I agree completely with Elaine's idea's she discussed yesterday, she should perhaps run it by the staff. I can't judge Papa Nicole by his actions...but to be honest, it hasn't left much to the imagination now...I along with quite a few others had to leave not cause we had to, but because we felt we had to

my opinion is i dont think the police coming is such a good idea....

reason being i can gaurentee you that there will be a few cars not quite write... police are right C***s sometimes and wana do you for whatever if they want to.... there presence will make people nervous and uncomfortable and not act like themselves.... I can assure you my car is FULLY legit MOT when done all legal tires fully comp insured on EVERY mod.... i am just speaking on others behalves.....

this has happened once (to my knowledge) if the problem happens again and people cant act civilized then we'll talk further...

blady hell was considering comin to this but im half glad i didnt now, feel for elaine aand anyone else who drove for hours to get there as its the same kinda distance as me and i wud be raging if someone caused the meet to end early.

I think the police being there would be okay aslong as there not traffic cops (chances are they will be) as it would be like lambs to the slaughter.

gettin the police to com to meets is just a stupid idea that would jus deter alot of ppl from going whether there cars legal or not its just the thought of being round the police no one likes em and there always out to catch ppl with "modded cars"

(god forbid :shoot: ) .. im not about to let that happen, iv worked my ass off with my fellow staff members to get the site to what it is today & im not about to let anybody ruin what macker started years ago which has been one HUGE help for starlet enthusiasts worldwide!

I agree on the notion of Police being anal retentive, but hey, Papa Nicole says he knows officers - perhaps they'd be more lenient. I very much doubt my car is legal MOT wise...heck, I cut my hand on it when pushing the car back!

But if a cop is going to come there with tyre gauges, sound meters etc...that'll deter people, but if it's a friend of a member's, it should be reasonable enough. Police (albeit, friendly police) aren't going to be a deterrant unless you know you can't help yourself from behaving a certain way or knowing your car is illegal

i think with the police side of things, it needs looking into a bit more.

and to be honest if your car is not legal to be on the road then quite frankly it should not be on the road. i really cant see a problem with it. i have been to meets where police have attended and they did not ruin the atmosphere in fact they made the atmosphere better as they got rid of all idiots and made the atmosphere better.

@mods-is there any chance of starting a fresh thread and closing this one? reason being this thread is like 25 pages long now, and it sounds like the meet turned out to be crap. which it was not. it was quite frankly the best starlet meet i been to, its just a shame the minority put a slight (and it was slight) downer on things.
