Kelly if you spot repeat offenders dont bother moving their threads just delete them, suddenly having to retype the thread doesnt seem like the quickest way to get a response. Most of our members realise that the forum has different sections for a reason.

i think it looks ridiculous imo, looks like youve had a crash and badly repaired the bonnet lol.

cant really see it making to much difference to be honest?

Why not? a engine creates heat, you hold the heat in and it just makes it hotter, allow somewhere for the hot air to escape and cool air to come in and you reduce engine temps meaning less strain on all parts of the system.

I agree it looks rubish tho

I did mine through necessity to clear the piping, hence so much height! The fact it makes my car look crap I count as an additional blessing!

used 4x 13mm head (8mm?) 85mm length bolts
4x shims straight out of kitteh-pillar lol!

def need a bigger bolt like i got mine raised but not by much like!!!

but still looks sweet will get pics up and see what you guys think!!

Well with my setup my under bonnet temp never goes above a fifth of the standard temp guage unless im sitting idle.
I like the reverse scoop and think it gives a more aggressive look and helps reduce under bonnet temp.
Christy

standard gauge? that doesnt measure underbonnet temperatures, that measures coolant.

and it should still go above a 5th, sounds like maybe your thermostat is going.

underbonnet temperature is the general heat underthe bonnet, like what temperature air the filter is taking in and intercooler pipes are surrounded by

I thought it looked pretty cool until we raised the bonnet on my brothers Glanza, looked shit so sat it back down.
