boost

im hoping that someone can help me cos its really pissing me off ...

laterly my car will not boost over .5 bar and its really slow .. i had a saxo vtr keep up with me earlier lol we it hits .5 bar you hear a swooooshin sound and wont boost anymore i have cheched for boost leaks but cant find any.


also when you drive it hard coolant pops out the rad cap and i have a toms racing rad cap


any solutions would be much appreciated .

Coolant could be headgasket? what does the temp guage read?

it dont smoke or anything could it just be the actuator..... its a hks t25 turbo

Boost leak. Check all vac lines and turbo to inlet joints.

Sounds like a faulty radiator cap mate, ive had many problems with the high pressure caps, tbh there pretty rubish, i tend to stick with 0.9bar rad caps now, toyota ones are pretty good, get the cap changed and you should be ok.

As for the boosting, sounds like a boost leak tbh, check all your intercooler piping, also check your bov joint etc.

how do i check 4 head gasket?

Sniff test in the coolant bottle mate or check on the inside of ur oil cap for a mayo/creamy looking residue.
