I'd like to bet i could make that turbo spool as quick as a td04, but the thing is you then wouldn't get the power your wanting.

Like you say it's all a balance. In the past where i've had full control over the whole car i've got car's to spool really earlier, I'l post pic's etc of the civic's new turbo when i start work on it.

Remember, theres cam spec, head spec which breaks into (inlet port size and shape, exhaust port size and shape and how they combine) compression ratio, manifold, (shape size and design) etc etc. Then theres the mapping, (getting the EGT's high early on, but with sufficient fuel to produce the torque).

There are MANY ways to skin a cat. :)

well good to see some people taking the 4e to the limit - brownster, dane, dave, etc

some jamaican guys REPORTEDLY just recorded 383WHP with a 4e project of theirs......i guess there is more to come also........seems like they have some in reserve...lol

O yes those Jamaicans certainly always seem to get great results. We are yet to achieve those sort of figures here in the UK.

looks good mate, BUT going back on what starbus said, you could get this to spool as quick as a td04 as in making 1 bar at 4k BUT at 1 bar this new turbo will not be up to much:p, would be surprise if you get bar by 5k tho,
all in the tune tho, good luck with it

Will have to wait and see trying out a new spec of turbo here but hey someone has to try different things. I have confidence in it after the work that has gone into developing it.

to4s comp wheel and matched wheels:rockon:, externally gated and good for 500whp, hits over 20 psi before 3k on a 2.0:p

One thing though i am specing a turbo for a 4E not a lazy way by increasing my capacity to get quicker spooling times etc. Its way more of a challenge to get and find a turbo that can do a both spool quickly and get big power up the top end.

Will always be 4e for me its just the way a Starlet should be a 1.3 :) Just my opinion that's all.

that looks alot like the turbo im using but im using a diff exhaust side so i wont say nuttin just incase it is the same good luck wit it

I guarantee its not the same mate :) This is a 1 off totally custom internally.

hey Sam yeah cant wait for the track day going to be a mental day out i think. please please please don't rain !
