I think it would be unwise to go back to that mentality. The UK once ruled a quarter of the world and totally destroyed many of the countries they ruled including the country I call home. I am against any country/group attempting to take over the world and would hope we are now civilised enough to respect our neighbours.
have to agree with you on that one,and i wouldnt say ruled, more like invaded.

Buckingham Masjid? Now i believe do something like that is a bit silly. Why not just build on like it and then you'll have

Buckingham Palace

Beckhaming Palace

Buckingham Masjid......LOL!

If they do protest then they deserve what they get, i quarrel over stupid things like this? There are way bigger things to protest about but they waste their lives doing things like this.

Heal the world, make it a better place. :)

to be fair though, the media mostly reports the bad things. you dont see many stories about the legitimate, legal immigrants coming into this country and doing worthwhile low paid jobs and not scrounging benefits to pay for their families (i know of a few myself).

the media view is distorted, especially the likes of the sun newspaper.

things are in a shit state in the country, there is no getting away from that fact, but there is also good things about this country which need to be highlighted more to 'keep the faith' so to speak.

Totally preposterous in my eyes, it's something that shouldn't even be considered. I can't contribute any more than that really, such appearance is likely to attract heated crowds.

I would say attrocities committed in the name of any religion, not religion itself. This goes for all froms of religion, when the leaders or members do unthinkable acts, then say it's "holy". Throughout history religion has been used as a sword and shield for committing and justifying criminal acts.

OK, but I think different. It is religion that is the cause. If the religions didn't exist then neither would the attrocities associated with them (I'm sure we'd find something else). Religion is ridiculous, that's my belief. I find it amazing that seemingly intelligent people can belief in such fairy tales thinking that they will be in eternal paradise when they day.

they didnt have the knowledge or the means in which to acquire certain knowledge at the time. science was in its infancy and man needed a reason for existence and answers to certain questions. religion was born from that.

religion itself spread as it did because there were far more uneducated people than there is now who could be easily manipulated by more educated, more powerful people. religion could be used as leverage and a means in which to gain even more power and respect (the pope ect).

science has answered many questions but some are still left un-answered, this is why religion still exists as it does give answers to many of lifes questions that still dont have legitimate answers provided by science. however proposterous these answers may be.

Ok that ones about Christianity but all religions are equally rediculous.
