Can anyone Help??? My car is loosing power!!

well changed actuator took car out and it still doing the same thing boost dropping back. may take intercooler piping off 2morow to check rubber joints.anyone got any outher ideas what this could be?

I took off the entire intercooler + piping, replaced some hoses and clamps, then refitted the actuator and all seems working.

boost still droppin changed actuator no diffrent. gonna take intercooler pipin off and check hoses anything elce i can check while iam at it?

Please check your BOV it may stuck open or may be you have crack in turbo compressor housing near wastegate or manifold.

Check exhaust, wastegate and BOV leaks. That's after you tightened up the intercooler and gave it a test run.

well took intercooler pipin off dint find any problems with them just oil in them where turbo seals are nackerd so thought take the turbo off and get some new seals for it no cracks on turbo that i can see. does anyone know where i could get the seals on turbo done and have it checked over?

No cracks near the wastegate?Under the wastegare penny?

And try disconnecting your EBC from the loop and see if on the actuator only it holds boost at a steady rate.

It could be a problem but not enough to cause such drastic loss of boost. What would fit between the crack,paper or nothing at all?

And if you shine a light in you might be able to see if the crack is worse further in.

Also did you check the manifold?
Shine a light through it or blow smoke through it with one end blocked up.

If it was me after i removed the EBC as the problem id try the manifold, a small bit of welding would sort it.

pit diffrent turbo on today tightend a few intercooler pipes took it out and doesent seam to be dropping boost now. the seals are nackerd but that woudnt make it drop boost would it? any help wher i can get new seals pit in the turbo

Think sam used to sell the kits but to be honest you'd pick up a second hand turbo cheaper.

And that small wastegate crack could have been the visible crack,where as it could have been cracked inside

New turbo can be got from toyota for something crazy like £700 IIRC,you'd get a hybrid for that.

Have a look through the classifieds here for one,most will have a small crack or two on the wastegate but as long as the seals are good and it makes boost it will be fine,should be no more than 150 for a very good one.Also the CT9a and CT9B are interchangeable just incase you didn't know.
