Mines only been done once but I always service my brothers with him quite regularly and will be doing the same with mine when its on the road.

if I get time I do it myself, however due to the hours I work and weird shifts I usually get a garage to do it, service it every 3-6k

I voted option number 1 anyway

i do all my own work
car gets a check over every 3 weeks and the oil and filter at the same time

I do most of the work like changing oil, filter bla bla bla and fit most mods. Fitted the cam belt with a mate last time an it aint fun haha, clutch stuff I get me dads mate to do at his garage as I don't fancy jacking it up to split box an all that!

most of the modifications, servicing etc we do ourselves... if im feeling lazy ill get hks power to do it lol its not worth taking a car to some garage when u can do it urself & know exactly whats going on & whats bein done or not..

Mine is done regularly, but by my own mechanic. Which reminds me…. I need an oil change!!!

I am a frim believer in trying to understand your car and its workings to the best of your ability. every car i've ever owned i've done the basics oil,fuel ,air filters, suspension removal and refitting,wishbones and the obligatory discks and pads etc. i believe people who work on their own car and understand more than your basic driver,have more respect and often run better cars in better condition both externally and mechanically.however No-one will know everything about every car and we all get stuck sometimes or simply don't have the time. whether done by a garage or done by yourself the upkeep of your car shows your passion for your car so i have BIG respect to everyone with fully stamped books or dirt in their fingernails until wednesday because you spent the weekend under your car. Voted

Agree with Robbo on this one usually if you maintain your own car it's usually kept maintained, in the past two nights i have seen 2 cars with no rear lights what so ever except for break lights, Numerous cars with one head light gone and many more with one rear driving light gone. it's by far the most dangerious thing you can do so please lads Check Your Lights regularly, All of them. Nearly plowed into the back of one of the twats with no rear lights. luckly i was coming into a town at the time and spotted him at the last second. he pulled into park and i gave him a piece of my mind.

Oh and please keep a spare set of bulbs and fuses in the car at all times, i can't count how many times i have noticed one gone and changed it on the spot

i do everything my self as well, as i am a mechanic, but after fixing and servicing everyone elses car during the day, its not often i can be bohtered to do my own!!

i do everything on my car myself, except some welding, i chang the oil and filter every few months and check all the tyre pressures and water levels every week.
