Car won't start

Over the last few days my car has just completely given up. It's trying to tick over but it's acting as it has no fuel.

I have checked:

Battery
Spark plugs
Leads
Fuel return pipe (plenty getting to the injectors)
Tried a different ECU

But had no luck with it, at all. :(

Any ideas on what to check next? I don't even drive the car, one day I started it and it was fine but the next it went bizzare.

buddy same thing happend twice with me.. one day car started and another day car dont start.. it take self but engine dont start i checked everything plugs , fuel line ecu etc... bt the prob was simple

car get flued due to too much fuel( probaly rich) thats y.. just disconect the fuel pump and make a self 5 6times and then reconect the fuel pump and make a self again here u goes ;)

Usually if it is flooded it is fine the next day?? I will try that tomorrow anyway, sounds like it could be the problem. :)

If you have a fault you have a fault.

Don't see why you would have to drive the car. If the electric's turn on when you turn the key, the ECU should pick up faults with sensors etc..?

Well thats 'sometimes'..so I guess 'sometimes' it does show faults.

Why not try it?

It would be stupid not to IMO! Only takes 2 mintutes...jeez.

Main reason is I don't know how to do it myself, and can't take the car to my mates garage... But I'll tow it there if I can't find the problem elsewhere.

Wow i had this problem last friday... My ignition switch burnt out. The housing that it was in has coumpletely fell apart so my mechanic got that changed and then he realised some of the wires on the harness started to burn so we changed that out also...But check your ignition switch mate.

I am with Akki on this, I was so adamant that my spark plugs were o.k when something very similar happend to me.

The car had been parked for about 2 months and worked fine for the first few days i drove it after and then one day i started it and reveresed it, turned it off and it would not start up again.

The plugs looked fine gaps, sparking etc everything was o.k I even heated them up as i thought I had flooded them. It had happend once before but I dismissed it as a one off as it started again. It baffeled me as I coudl see them spark and all and the battery was good (optima) the injectors worked It had to be the plugs somehow.

It's worht trying different plugs as it may cure the problem and only takes 5 mins on the 4efe.

Good to know you got it sorted. lol You won't believe how many times I heated my plugs thinking I flooded the car that week.

You live and learn lol. My old ones were black but i guess they will be since it runs a rich.

Don't know why it happened apart from being parked up...
