If this is the Megasquirt and people want to map it themselves they want to be getting TunerStudio instead of MegaTune. Much better and if you have a wideband it can autotune your fuel map very well.

Oooooooo yeah ! After about a hour or so of wiring I got it fired up no probs running soooo smooth it holds timing way way better then the haltech dose and I'm not just saying that more update tomorrow ! Ps it comes with mega tune and tunerstudo too so u can use what ever u fancy , really shocked how good this thing is the rpm signal is soooo clean over other ecus I've used that cost over twice as much :))

I have always found it funny how megasquirt based systems always got slated compared to stuff like emanage. Yet the megasquirt I had did the job spot on, was much better than my emanage. Although 2 different cars being fair but a piggyback unit is a bad thing compared to a complete ecu in my opinion.

I seem to remember some threads about ms systems on here and most folk didn't think much of them, although now with you on board it seems that opinions might change, for the better I must add.

And the "you pay for quality" isn't really relevent as the ms systems are cheaper than most ecu's.

To get back on topic, regarding the ms, is there no way that it can be controled to act like a jdm self trimming ecu? As I would think that would be a great feature, like you have a load of maps similiar to the base spec and the ecu can trim it itself. I would guess it would need a wideband though?

the original toyota ecu and jam/blitz do trim a little bit, but thats nothing like mapping properly. i had a jam ecu that seemed to create decent afrs on a couple of different setups, but it wasnt what you would call a good tune. went well though.

Just putting the feelers out, who would be able to map these in England as coming to Ireland is out of the question.
