its a quarter by 10mm stud coupling i used, had it turned on a laith the tapped it to the right thread, screwed it into the turbo then connecred the line. i totally agree if you have the original one then use it. :freddy:

apparently from reading quite a few subaru sites.......the banjo bolt on the turbo end should be 1.5mm restriction hole for the vf series turbo

luckily enough....a number of td04L turbos use the same very 1.5mm bolt as stock, although its TD series

we've measured the td04L banjo bolt we had.....its 1.5mm:cool:

that pic look like the correct bolt

i can post the links on monday if u wish.....they are on my work computer:cool:

now the banjo bolt on the subaru head is another story...but ep82/91 owners dont have to worry about that part...lololol

subaru put an oil bolt with a tiny hole on the ball bearing turbos for a reason.
for the sake of 5 quid why even bother using the wrong one?

Yeah as you mentioned i bought the tubby without the bolt so had to go to a hydraulics to find a bolt that fitted correctly. At that time the size of the whole didnt cross my mind and to be honest i didnt even know about it.

So it wasnt the case of the wrong one more like not knowing it was the wrong one but duely noted and ile be ordering one.

Do i quote the car model it came from?

heres picture hope you can see it

The hole on my td04 banjo is a alot bigger than that so i wont be using that same one in my VF tubby.

Thanks rep added accordingly
