CT9 hybrid?

whats the most that a ct9 hybrid can handle boost wise all dependant on the manufacturer? also can anyone give me a maximum power figure as im strapped for cash at the moment and dont want to fork out on a turbo kit. also will i need to upgrade the internals to achieve the maximum power from a ct9? i want to at least bypass the 200bhp mark but im going to need a fmic with the shortest piping route possible and a decent core nothing to big like the hdi. im going to fit a half size alloy radiator also to maximize room and cooling :) nothing better than pure airflow lol

I think the Tong hybrids, you can run at about 1.2-1.4 bar mate but on a forged engine.

Would say 1bar of boost on standard internals.

So with a few other mods could easily see 200 bhp :D

well at the moment im going to pull the engine out. i want to forge the engine still as i need to change the water pump and radiator and has fried 2 headgaskets in a month so i want to make my car reliable. if i could keep the stock turbo and be able to run a decent amount of power as in 200bhp + ill keep the ct9 setup and concentrate more on anti roll bars and rta gt3's :)

im looking to build something quick and reliable but the turbo setup will have to wait or not at all. unless i pick one up cheap enough

Always best to confirm this with the seller as it can differ between units mate. Boost can also affect your warranty conditions in some cases.

yeh it was speed vision ct9 hybrids that got re-called. i have a tongs hybrid. its doin me well so far. put about 2k on it now and goin strong. they warranty at 1.2 bar.

i cant see you gettin 200bhp with the standard ct9 mate.

i just make 200 with a hybrid and a SARD ecu etc

im not sayig ill get 200 from my stock ct9. my car has a stock ct9 ad its hitting 180 but its on its way out as i think the boost creep; is killing it. im hoping to hit the 200bhp + mark with a hybrid ad another remap. :)

Yeah it was the speedvision hybrids, ive seen a few people have issues with smoking early on but not that many, mine has been spot on so far and it comes with warrenty upto 1.2 bar. I think some people doont prime the turbo properly then look for someone to blame when the problems start just my opinion tho

i made 200 at 1 bar so if run it at 1.2 bar should be lookin at a nice 200+ figure.
the biggest thing you will notice with a hybrid is the constant pull it delivers. on mine when get to 6ish k revs its pulls even harder where as my old standard ct9 died out at 6k revs
