why just leave?? bit rude int ya seems like a way to solve the problem for now so he doesnt damage his engine!!!

It did come across a little rude. Tut tut Durmz! At least he mentioned a FPR lol.

You could use Ahear... wait... wtf is with the user name lol? You could use the above suggestion, however the fueling should be set up properly by a tuner.

the name is completly silly i noe my mrs done it and it really pissed me off as i own a gt not a glanza,if the fcd and fpr are set up correctly which if he gets them he obviously will do beacuse he woudlnt no what pressure to set the fpr at or wat setting the fcd would go at by himself then it would solve the problem but yes you are correct he would need the other supporting mods, but still this would solve the problem as the guy probally wants his car to retain the power he has as turning boost down would surely make it slower, but yes therefore preserving enigne

yeah and ure right, but its just important that u mention the 'required mods' aswell like, because without them u can seriously fuck shit up lol

If you mean when i put it on high boost it doesnt make a difference? If so thats wrong because it makes a huge difference.

Yeah but is that using the standard 'low/high' button in the car, which is what i'm going on about, and not your aftermarket boost controller? You hadn't mentioned owning a boost controller until after my post.....

You should just stick a photo up of the engine bay

i would turn the manual boost controller down to .7 then see if it still hits fuel cut as he's not going to loose much by doing this espesh with it hitting fuel cut and it doesnt cost anything to give it a try =) then when he wants more boost can do the above

I will try turning the boost controller down tomorrow, I do not have boost creep because on high boost it sits at 0.8 bar. I know this because of my boost gauge.

BTW what is a fcd and rrfpr?

I just tried it again, and it didn't get fuel cut but the warning light did appear is this nothing to worry about? Does this happen to you?

Cheers for the info guys,

I have not turn the boost controller down yet but I was on the mway on low boost, put my foot down and the warning light came on just on its own. Then I did it later on and it was still on low boost and it hit the fuel cut on low boost!

Also, my engine's water temp seems to heat up when I am stationary and completely drop to almost cold on the mway?! Is this because of the front mounted intercooler not set up right? I would have thought that it was bad for the engine to run at 3500 rpm cold on the mway?

Thanks for the help,

Cheers for the info guys,

fpr = fuel pressure regulator
fcd = fuel cut defender

the light appears on the dash to warn you it might cut out, then if you continue to boost your engine will "jerk" and youve hit fuel cut, if your seeing the light dont boost it! if you know your gona hit fuel cut try not to boost the car as your doing damage to it! either turn your actuator or boost controller down so it doesnt boost past the fuel cut, try to set it around 0.7 bar or abit less incase you get slight boost creep which will take you over the fuel cut threashold. like mentioned if you dont have any supporting mods i.e frount mounted intercooler, exhaust etc dont bother fitting the fcd/fpr as you need the other mods to support the increased boost. after youve got all the supporting mods, fit the fcd/fpr get it set up at a local tuner on a wideband and your good to go...

if you do that dont boost past 1 bar on the ct9 with the stock manifold/cat as there is a restriction in the third runner and you will fry a piston or something....i would say boost to 0.8bar and that will be fine

hope thats helped abit!
