D2 coilovers Vs. D2 coilovers

They use to have a spring rate of 7 on the front and 5.3 on the rear.

The new ones that loads of guys are getting of dave are 5 on the front and 5 on the rear?

I want to get some D2's but I don't like the idea of the same springrate on the front as on the rear?
I mean, look at all other brands (tein, cusco etc.) they all got a higher springrate on the front as there is more weight.

So the 5/5 springrate can't be good for handling right?

Are the D2's with the 7/5.3 springrate still availeble or are they replaced with the 5/5?

Ah, that’s nice:)

So, for a daily drive that does an occasional track day. What is the ideal spring rate?

I was thinking about 6k front and 4k rear. (that’s the "standard" on the jdm coilovers)

Just for comparison, the D2's for a Yaris/Vits have a standard spring rate of 5.3k front 2.2k rear)

my buddy clubs, are 6k front and 5k rear.

there firm, but supple. and is about the right compromise between full track and daily drive

the reason why they got same spring rate in front and rear is the rear chassi type...
now you can order other rates. 6K front, 5K rear sounds nice thought :)

Yea, I saw that the buddy club's have a springrate of 6k front and 5k rear.

For a comparison:
Buddy club junior spec: 6k front and 5k rear
Buddy club racing spec: 6k front and 5k rear
Cusco zero 1: 6k front and 4k rear
Cusco zero 2 & 2R: 6k front and 4k rear
Tein flex: 5k front and 4k rear
Tein super street: 3.0k front and 2.5k rear
Section RM A8: 6k front and 5k rear
Toda Racing Fighter FS: 6K front and 4K rear
RG Racing Gear: 6k front and 4k rear

Most brands use 6k front and 4k rear...
