when i bought the car and got it home i realised the walls of all four tires were cracked, but the treat was good but = MOT failure/points so got them changed asap, Both window motors went so i rebuild them, The gearbox has just gone and im pretty sure the HG has been gone since i got it as water's been disapearing since after about a month of ownership... Other than that... i think its been okay, Ohh and yes interia light doesnt work!

Ive had 2 Glanza's. Never broke down, just wear and tear items. For a 12 year old car im well pleased at the reliablity.

Mine was well cheap 2years ago. I didnt drive her for the 1st 6months while i tidyed a few things up. New gauges installed some tunes a nice T-cut an polish. An for a MK1 it is still quite clean. So mine was average.

I'd say mine has been brilliant (tho not completely without its faults!)

I've covered over 40k in it, in less than a year and a half and except from mods its not asked for a thing except regular oil changes :)

Given she has so many aftermarket parts I'd say she's a testament to her old owner in Jap land :) Hope I haven't jinxed it! :D

I would have hating having a car that caused me alot of problems. I bought a brill glanza. Haven't had one problem with it. Paid alot of money for the mods to make sure i done it right and didnt have any problems. Has served me well so far! Do alot of you give your cars a hard time?? lol

of course they do, and this just being my opinion, but i see the gt's as more the enthusiasts car, and the glanza as the 'shiny thing that chav's like'.

no offence to any glanza owners, but they are a newer, better looking car.

like the saxo/106, more chavs drive the saxo, they look better.

lol u mite touch a nerve there!:p

Mine was a good one. Just old age has brought my problems on. I wouldnt call them problems though, I am just fussy.

alot of the problems are due to just old age.
im also very picky and everything has to be 100%. i tend to go a bit overboard with bits to make sure its perfect.

my opinion is that the above is bullshit ^^ I see as much work going into Glanzas as I do into GT's.

Either way both cars are starlets so I dont see the difference personally.

Agreed. I dont hear people saying that about Evo 5 + 6's etc...

*EDIT*
What i mean is: Just cos its had a facelift doesnt mean there are not enthusiasts.

My Glanza is nearly up to 30,000 miles in my hands in the 2 years I have had it. Still wearing the set of Goodyear Eagle F1's I put on it after a month of ownership and they have a fair bit of tread left. Nothing has been spent on it apart from regular servicing and a few aftermarket bits. Not one breakdown or issue at all. Treat these cars correctly and they will last for ever. Thrash them and drive them like a cock then they will break. You can tell how I drive from the fact that I will have gotten about 35000 miles out of my tyres!!!
