I think your questions says a lot.

The td05 is larger than a td04 off the WRX that's rather popular on this site.

The td04 only spools that slow if you are running boost outside of its efficiency range. Running higher than 15psi will produce faster response. The other reason may be that most of you guys here use that td04 HUGE manifold, whereas in Jamaica we just cut the NA 5E manifold and use that. Its smaller and more direct.

EXACT!!! with the 5e Na manifold the response ivery fast ...i noticed that by changing my equal lenght manifold done by BYP for a simple 5efe NA manifold....it is better and the response is high

tell what you guys think. i want to be around 225whp. so on a td04l how much boost will i be running

Enter Compressed Head Gasket Thickness: 0.38mm

i would aviod this h/gasket if i were u...at least use a stock 4efte/5efhe h/gasket which is about 1.2mm

the h/gasket u have above (0.38mm) seems a bit too thin for my likings in relation to a boosted engine

thats COMPRESSED thickness. i think thats the stock 1st gen 5efe gasket :]

thats the standard 1mm gasket fyi. now if u think that standard 1mm gasket is too thin then i might want to go 1.2mm which compresses to .38 i believe or is that still to thin?

okay so with my new calculations i could use a 1.6mm hg which will compress to about .72 and i will have a cr of about 9.6:1 that way im not pushing the limit on my cr and i have a nice thick hg to help prevent "blowing my head gasket"

so does this look good? is too think of a hg bad in anyway?

rep has been given to everyone :]
