post a pic underneath the car of the geatbox where the shafts come out both sides. if its an aftermarket lsd then it wont matter. its pretty obvious if its the standard lsd unit.

picture below shows the factory lsd gearbox.. the lsd is in the black circle and will be on the drivers side of the gearbox.. if your car is fitted with this the drivers side oil seal is different but the passenger side is normal... if the lsd is inside the box its aftermarket and the oil seals will be the same as a standard box with no lsd

factory lsd gearbox.. lsd is in black circle

standard gearbox.. notice no lsd on outside (yellow circle)

90311-50015 and 90311-34017 should be the the seal part numbers for a LSD equipped box and 90311-34016 and 90311-34017 should be the seal part numbers for a non-LSD box.

I'm not sure what 90311-34034 is for, the EPC doesn't recognise that as a valid part number?

mate i duno im being to wonder not as when i look at the gearbox it looks like some has had it off in the past because theres some red stuff where the gearbox meets, how can you tell if its a standard box? its strange as ive never seen a seal with a metal bit round the rubber bit? i need to get this done soon as so any help would be good, when i ordered them tho they asked did it have lsd or not and ive gone for the lsd ones as i got told the car had one, but if you look at the pics the oil seals are diffrent, cheers

i odered the both for a lsd box so im guessing that the 34034 code is for the other side? im unsure mate they told me they was for lsd seals.

90311-34034 is a corolla gerabox oil seal and its the same fit.. i got 2 of these off toyota for my gearbox texx

LSD equipped means it came from the factory with a LSD installed. If an aftermarket LSD has been fitted to a non-LSD box, then you still use the seals for a non-LSD box.

for the lsd or non lsd? it doesnt look the same as what ive took off the car

Unless your gearbox has this bit hanging off the side of it, you've got the wrong seals.

Sounds like you need the seals for a NON-LSD transmission. 90311-34016 and 90311-34017 are the part numbers given by the EPC.
