driveshaft seals

just rang o mara motors there (toyota) and got the parts numberes for an non lsd glanza gearbox (same applys for lsd fitted inside the box)

passenger side oil seal= 90311-34034
drivers side oil seal= 90311-34016

ok thanks mate ill phone and order them then, heres a few pics looks to me like its gota lsd?

its a standard gearbox mate but could have an lsd inside the box.. jack up the front of the car a spin one wheel. if the other wheel spins the same way you have an lsd.. if it spins the oppisite way to the other wheel you dont

just incase the parts numbers differ from ireland and england try the numbers "texx" gave

passenger side oil seal= 90311-34017
drivers side oil seal= 90311-34016

they spin the same way so it must have one, so could you tell me which part number i neeed to order? as itll take few days to come and i could do with the car fixed for weekend, thanks for all the help and time mate ;)

The EPC I have is from 2004, if 90311-34034 is a post 2004 part number for that seal then that's probably why it's not recognised.

toyota guy sayin theses are right on one side it only gave 1 part no and on the other it gave too, he reckon they right, but obviously they not coz they wont fit. duno what to do now

ah.. when i got the passenger side oil seal for my gearbox your man in the parts department said 90311-34034 was the same part number as the corolla passenger side oil seal.. sur if it fits it fits.. all good man.. :beer:

dont mention lsd mate... hes on about the factory lsd that goes outside the gearbox like the one in the picture i posted...

The EPC I have lists the same part numbers for both the Starlet and Corolla, so I wouldn't doubt what he's said.

he said that the 34017 has now chaned over to 34034, ive ordered 34016 as he said the that side theres 2 part no's which are 34015 and 34016 so ive got the 34015 and that dont fit so ive ordered 34016 so hopefully that will be right, i should have to tomz morn so ill let you guys know and thanks for your help lads, repped

ds oil seal= 90311-34016

Very helpful info as usual coro and Texx. Was under the car yesterday and noticed that the oil seal at the crank is leaking. Seen the part number: 90311-34016 posted above. Is that correct number for the seal I need to replace.

that part no they gave out in this thread mate is for drive shaft oil seal so youd have to check with one of those guys mate coz i duno if they same or not
