Hi Guys,

I did a light modification on my 4E-FTE machine..

Specs are as below :

Stock Internal with :
-TD04 turbo
-1.2mm metal gasket
-Banana
-38mm wastegate
-SARD FPR
-Walbro 255 L/H

I tried to boost at 1.2bar.. the problem is during tuning AFR is still lean..
I've set the FPR to 3.6bar still lean..
still seeking for the problem..is this something to do with my management unit? pls advice..

is it? i've replaced everything related to fuel lines..fuel pumps, injectors, FPR & fuel filter..yet still lean..

Net says 4agze and reddish and 365cc @ 48psi which makes them about 301.59cc @ stock base pressure of 32.77psi or 380.63cc @ 3.6bar 52.2psi sounds plenty but too high a pressure can restrict flow.

Rev,

is it something to do with the pressure of the injectors?

BTW, how to test the functionality of the injectors itself?

Not directly the injectors. The injector hole you have are similar to stock so you are raising pressure in the fuel rail for more fuel which can effect fuel pump , fpr and fuel return.

But it is a strange one as you have a high flow pump all i can think of is if the fpr is
not a 1 : 1 rising type maybe it is adding alot more pressure?

I will try to replace the FPR to OEM FPR and we'll see the result..

One more thing, the check engine light appears & the engine stops..after 3 trial it go back to normal idling.. FYI, during the check light appear, fault code was 3 1..something to do with ignition.. it really give me headache..

May still lean out on high DC as you need to raise the base pressure to run your tdo4 safley especially at richer afr's or as triple j says above. The stock fpr does not let you raise the base pressure even though it does raise pressure at 1:1 on boost.

Code 31 Vacuum Sensor
No signal at Vacuum sensor (PIM)
Vacuum sensor to ECU

That could be the problem . Also would be worth checking if the map sensor (vacuum sensor) is connected correctly and has no vaccum leaks etc.
