Guess he's not wanting the item now and making up some excuse hoping you don't know what he's meaning and say ok send it back.

If it was me i'd tell him to goto a tyre fitting place and get them to put them on as he doesn't seem to have the knowledge to do a simple thing.

God knows how he will survive if he gets a flat tyre and tries to fit the spare wheel.

thats if u can find it :p
jus tell him the TGTT boys will come sort him out lol

sounds to me like he is using wheel nut designed for a steel wheels and not proper alloy items that have the shim built into them.

Are collars not on the axles or hubs?? or am i thinking about someit different cause i know there is a locking collar on the axle or hub, never heard of a collar on a wheel before.

Mind you i know model aeroplanes use collars on their wheels to stop it riding up the curve and putting drag on the wheels but even at that their fitted to the axle.

Weird how he says other nuts will fit, reckon he's using the wrong nuts.

nothing wrong with that ebay add. The guy is a total dickhead. These things he speaks of are not in the pictures, which means YOU disclosed all relevant information for HIM to make an informed decision as to purchase or not. Did he ask you any questions before buying?

nothing apart from will i post to blackpool and will i end early.

which i said id post to blackpool and bidding goes to end.

anyone get any idea what the process is with ebay?

i know what the guy is saying as rob pointed it out hes saying one hole is bigger than the other on the wheel but if you look at the pics in the add all the wheels are fine which means he must have damaged it fitting it

i suppose at the end of the day, he's had them a few days AND he left you good feedback...

long and short = (surely!) in ebay's eyes, he broke them.

plus, he sounds like he doesnt have a clue what he's on about, thefore he = cock and is just trying to blag it.

apparently they have like little lip rings inside the hole to hold the wheel nuts so a guy says on our local club if you over tighten them or use the wrong nuts they can pop out or damage.

but if you look at my listing they dont look like the ones hes put up

Bell. End.

Wouldn't worry about it too much, just make sure ALL the money in your paypal account is gone - tranferred to bank account and that you remove ANY cards from it (so they have no way of getting money from you) - even cancel the card you were using with them.

Then even if he does winge - they can't get any money from you.

Oh and, if you didn't use paypal, tell him to stick all 4 wheels up his arse :D

thanks for that guys ive removed my stuff from paypal and going to cancel my card this week.

ive just had a reply from ebay who stated

Hello Mark,

Thank you for your email regarding your concern with buyer "*****"
who is asking for a full refund for the alloy wheels (item 270160842221)
they've purchased as they claimed that they are not working well when
you had sold it in good faith. I appreciate the chance to assist you.

I certainly understand your situation and I am eager to sort things out
for you, unfortunately, situations such as these are considered by eBay
as a member-to-member conflict, which users should resolve between
themselves.

The limitations on our responsibility are explained in detail in our
User Agreement, under the heading "Liability". To read our User
Agreement, copy the following link into a new browser window:

Mark, my capacity to help is limited to the rules stated above that we
strictly adhere although I sincerely would like to help solve this issue
for you. Rest assured that incidents such as this were taken into
account and being studied to protect honest members against fraudulent
users.

Moreover, please keep in mind that whether or not you send your buyer a
refund is entirely dependent upon whether or not you have a return
policy in your listing, and whether you choose to honour that policy.
eBay is not involved in transactions between buyers and sellers and
therefore is not responsible for issuing refunds or item replacement.
I'm afraid that we cannot take sides in a dispute or communicate with
your buyer on your behalf. The way in which you and the buyer deal with
this situation is really a matter of your own discretion.

Thus, in cases such as these, I strongly encourage you to talk to your
buyer through phone and simply discuss this matter with them. A simple
conversation may help in working out a solution that will satisfy you
both.

Here's how to request your buyer's email address and phone number:

1. Click "Advanced Search" in the top right-hand corner of the eBay
homepage.
2. Click "Find Contact Information".
3. Enter the relevant item number. You can find the item number in My
eBay. Click "Search".

We'll then send you an automatic email with the buyer's contact details.
Please be aware that we'll send them your contact details at the same
time. We feel it maintains trust and fairness on eBay if members are
made aware when other members request their contact information.

I realise this isn't the answer you were looking for. I sincerely hope
this information helps you to resolve this matter directly with your
buyer, Mark.

Kind regards

^great, thats exactly what you wanted, however, Paypal are not so forgiving, and tend to take sides - theres a LOT of information about paypal problems (www.paypalsucks.com i'm sure) So make sure they don't have any money they can give back to him....

good result i guess

Yeah ebay will take a back seat approach as it's buyer to seller issues, it would be different if it was an ad on ebay or something then they would step in and remove the ad or tell you to amend it.

I'd do what the others suggest, remove all funds and even cancel the card you use on paypal for the moment just so he doesn't start claim proceedings and also point out to him that when the alloys left you they were in good condition and that he must have damaged the wheel when fitting due to over tightening the nuts or using the wrong nuts which have caused damage and therefore it's not your problem for his poor workmanship.

I reckon if you had to agree to a refund you wouldn't get the set of wheels you sent him and he would have a good set of wheels plus a refund in money.
