EBC fitted but not holding/controlling the boost ... is it my fitting or the unit?

Well I've blocked it off & its stopping me from hitting fuel cut now thanks m8.

It seemed to restrict the boost to abt .30 but theb higher up the rev range the boost increased to abt .72. The ebc doesn't seem to be able to hold it steady.

Think ill leave it alone until I get the actuator and port the wastegate and then set it up properly.

Update:

Fitted the actuator and ported some of the wastegate earlier:

The boost is alot more stable now but still nowhere near perfect, at least its not hit fuel cut again.

I wasnt sure how much of the wastegate to port, I could take more off but there were some hairline cracks already there and dont want to make matters worse.

Should I swap the decat back out and fit the Cat until I can sort something else out do you think?

I tried a roadtest with 3/4 of the air filter blocked up as well and didnt seem to help stabilize the boost.

Only problem at the moment is I cant setup the actuator with the creep so atm it is just roughly setup the same length as the old one.

Ive also got a FMIC that I havnt yet fitted, would this be worth fitting to restrict the intake as it would be the autobahn route?

if your still getting creep port the gate some more, i know it is a ball ache taking the car to bits again but its the only way to sort it out without getting a external wastegate, you can port as much as you want but just make sure the hole is fully covered when the wastegate is shut or you will have problems lol.

That was going to be my next port of call along with possibly a restrictor ring in the exhaust to try and increase the backpressure a bit.

Thanks for your help m8 :)
