engine expectancy

how long would you expect the 4efte engine to last,as was reading that toyoa made the engine to last 300'000 km.andwhen buyin is 85-89k anythin to worry about.

at the end of the day it depends on how it gets treated and how often it gets serviced, there so many factors to consider, its hard to say mate.

but generally if left standard then mileage really isnt anything to worry about.

as long as it's serviced corectly, not driven extreemly hard and well maitained then it should out live the body, toyota engines have been known to do half a million kilometers and still start first turn of the key and not burn excessive amounts of oil

mines got 140000km's on it now and its rock solid, starts first time everytime and never had any problems engine wise and its still going strong! I do service it every few months but I drive it quite hard aswell.

mines got 158000km,having a few minors problem,think prevoius owner did.nt look after her well,but im slowly bringing her back to life

the key is regular servicing and it should run forever

mines got 167000 kms n its regularly serviced, every 4 months n its startin first time no prob never ever overheated or anything!!!
