Engine or hopefully turbo problem

had my engine fitted yesterday picked it up from garage on way home temp gauge went to red hot had to drive it for 5 min to get it off motorway water pump had leaked all the water from rad,it was smoking before when i let off boost now when i pull up to lights you cant see the car with white smoke has the car over heating done the steam seals or could it be down to the turbo,the turbo was fitted to car that put conrod threw the block with lots off shaft play,on first start up dont smoke at all till you take it for drive,im hoping its the turbo has i have spent over £1000 quid to get the car running

It thought could be the Headgastet as the water pump let but the water out of the rad that is white smoke get a compresion test to see if its that

You have to also check if they didnt forget to plug the radiator fan.
White smoke can be turbo and blue smoke is when oil is burnt.
Now you will have to check the head as well,if its warped ?

had water pump changed engine runs sweet no misfire or water in the oil does have smell off oil when you pull over

its turbo then mate... put the new turbo on and take it easy for abit as your exhaust system might be full of oil because of the seals in the other turbo are dead...

i would say its not the turbo.

it could be headgasket, even if it seems to be running and idling fine,

compression test it or leakdown test it, or use the leak dye test,

its also very rare for turbo to make white smoke, as they generally burn oil not water and burning oil is generally blue smoke
