Oil Pressure Light - or lack of!

Hi, I am missing the oil pressure light on initial key turn, I think the bulbs fine.

I take it the easiest thing is to replace the switch on the block.

Are the ones from camskill the correct fitment etc, anyone used these ones? Its for a Glanza.

Cheers

The oil pressure light? If so, gt and glanza are the same. Screw the old one out, new one 1 and reconnect the lead.

Check the electrical circuit by touching the metal part of the connector to earth with the ignition on.

Cheers lads, so I just disconnect the connector and touch the metal, and check if the light comes on in the dash? Sorry my electric knowledge is crap :)

Went through this recently too. The light comes on when the connector sees an earth so as Wee John said touch the connector off the engine and the lamp will light up. If this happens then the circuit is okay and the switch is most likely at fault.

With the help on my beautiful assistant, she confirmed the oil lamp light does work when earthed to the metal :)

Also broke the black plastic sheath when disconnecting it, but its mega brittle.

All good tho, ill get one from camskill for £6.

On a slightly less happy note, I got charged £37 for a reversing switch for my freelander, then found them on ebay for like £6 :(
