Btw i asked Sky insurance when they phoned up if i could put my mum and dad on my insurance and the guy said it doesnt make any difference on the price when u put named drivers on it.

Is that the truth with sky or was he telling me fibs to get more money out of me?

Just wheels and exhaust on my insurance lad ;)

how can u get classic insurance?

my car is a 92 gt n I have 5 years before its classic as your car needs to be 25 years old first so 2017 then classic so if urs is a 94 u have to wait till 2019 mate as I went to insure a b reg nova last year n they said since its 25 years old it's classic n they told me to phone a classic insurer instead

I'm 22, 23 next month, how much u Payin like?

Well suppose your a bit younger and glanzas are dearer... im 26, 8 years no claims, all mods and re-spray noted on the policy (however they will not pay out for mods) I also keep the car in a garage most nights... i pay £380 fully comp per year with admiral. Its just kept going down over the years to that price and im due to renew in 3 weeks too. Ill let you know what this years price is :)

Another words I'm paying more than double price compared to your insurance simply because I have a glanza? For god's sake the GT is faster if you compare 2 cars with the same engine, similar turbo but lighter weight.

its older etc too, and didnt the glanza beat it in a race iirc? inurance are just robbing basatards, they dont need a reason to charge you more

well for one your mileage is limited to 3000 a year. i know when i looked briefly a while ago for a different car, classic car insurance is limited to like 4000miles a year or something.

so either yours is just a weekend car and doesnt get much use or your reducing mileage to try and get it cheaper (understandable) but if you crash and have done way over that they will do anything not to give you a payout.

My logbook is down as 1331cc mate.
I've got Toyota Unknown model/varient. Saloon (LOL Hatchback me thinks) and thats all.
Your right they won't measure the bore and stroke but if they get the engine number they can easily find out what engine it is ;)

On my insurance i've got... Toyota Starlet Turbo GT (Import) 1332cc engine, which is close enough lol.

I see :) , these cars are always different on the log books, not one Ive had has been the same.

Its a weekend car I dont need it for work or anything. If I go over 3000 miles I will just ring them up. Its not like they will just tell me to stop driving until next year! how much more can It be? besides they ask for the "estimated" annual mileage that's why its rounded up to the nearest 1000. I dont think anyone out there drives to the the limit just before there policy ends to get there moneys worth ! lol

or what if you were 1 mile over your annual mileage and got pulled over, technically you would be uninsured and get 6 points on your license.

Got a phone call this morning from Alex at Sky insurance and i have never been as shocked as much as this price at anything in my entire life (well owning a Glanza anyways lol)

With just myself on the policy i may add, normally i add my parents on as named driver to make it abit cheaper for me, but nope, just me

£1042 Fully comp

Thanks for the feedback , I'll pass this on to my colleague Alex.
