Any one know how hard it is to change / fix studs that come off the head for the exhaust manifold ?

Hi mate,
If it's just a messed up thread you could buy a stud extractor kit to remove the stud. If you can't find a good secondhand one the part number in Toyota should be 90116-10196 and only sting a few quid. To refit apply some threadlock and wind it in when you are putting the mani back on.
If it's the dreaded weakspot on the top right stud area of the cylinder head it'll either require a fresh head or you to find someone who can reliably weld aluminium.

What do you mean by ''fix''?
