all cars can suffer from it - not just evo's - usually caused by a bad thrust bearing - replace it and you're (usually) good to go, IIRC

evos 1-4 suffer very badly thow

Well i think i will be ok as its had a full 2.3L stroker kit from slowboy in usa
also had the top end rebuilt with new cams
