thats the way it should be done with normal tools mate. i just had the luxury of battery tools that did the job in a couple of seconds ;)

Lucky! I just have my sheer brute strength and raw sexual magnetism to help me do stuff like that! lol

Ive manged to get it off, ractchet and BIG HAMMER! did the trick! Guna start on front now,

question, when i compared the springs, the look the same height, (think newer look 1cm taller lol). so will i be able to tell once the car is sat down it?

they are meant to be like that mate. otherwise they would be no better than cut springs. they maintain the same overall length but are progresssively wound so they get harder the more they compress.
that means the car is lowered as the springs are softer than the standard straight wound springs to begin with, but stiffen up when you corner hard and compress the spring further.

I heard you need an adjustable.. something forgot what it was called when lowering a starlet? I'm looking to lower mine on springs soon how easy isit and other than springs is anything else needed? I know balancing/tracking will need to be done.

Think its adjustable pan rod and adjustable top mounts, but it depends how low the car goes down by it may be effected, not sure.
Tracking will be done sooner this week as well.
Its quite easy, hardbest bit is getting the bolt of to free the top mounts.

let me know how it goes mate, then i'll know weather to buy one or not :D

:p

My cuz had had trd coil overs and didnt have adjustable topmounts or pandrod, he didnt have any problems (apart from harsh ride).

Hopefully if the weather hold will get the rest done and a test run.:)

my uk ep91 sits pretty low and i see no reason to fit a panhard rod. its not noticeably out at the rear.
i also noticed when i lowered my GT it was hardly out, if at all. already had a panhard rod ready to fit anyway so fitted it, but im not convinced it was necessary for alignment

on my car i cant put 2 people at the back coz the rear arches will scrape the tyres and thats with kyb shocks and rs suspension

Just bloody done it cuz! wont be doing that again, the front were easy as the top nuts had grease around them, the rear top nuts werea total bas*ard to get off!! took me hour each to get the nut off to free the top mounts! Alot swearing and beating it with a hammer it came off!!

Ammy donts like it, the ride feels more harsh on these crapy road! but i took it around a bend it fell smooth and grippy. lol havent really checked the full potential of it yet! I have Pi not G-max :)
