thought id start this thread for the people who've sold their starlet and miss/regret it.

put up briefly what u loved most and hated most about ur starlet, a very brief spec and why u sold it/what replaced it...and the last pic u took of it in your ownership.

ile get the ball rolling...

i loved the raw power of my glanza and the smile it put on my face everytime i booted it...but hated the amount of money it cost me for one reason or another. was running 250bhp on a forged td04 setup. i sold it to balance the books and to fund a project to learn engine building myself (4efte mini). defo will have another starlet one day soon tho. my daily driver to replace it was a 206 (cheap and economical).

last pic taken night b4 i sold it, out for one last blast :(

loved mine when racing it about, but the daily commute and normal driving was what caused me to sell it, too bumpy, noisy and not that comfortable. was one of the most reliable cars ive owned though, and cheap to mantain. will be getting another soon but it will be for track use and the occasional weekend road play. :)

i bought a gt because i always fancied a glanza but couldn't find one at the moment. a gt in some need of tlc popped up at a good price and i bought it. i loved the way it boosted and always looked forward to drive it even if it was my daily drive. was restoring it month by month and loved every second of it. it was my most reliable car i've ever owned.

was gonna spend a lot of cash on it and i found that with it i could buy a glanza. so i bought the glanza and made the mother of mistakes and sold the gt to fund the glanza modifications.:shoot::shoot::shoot:

wish it was still with me as it would have made the perfect car for hill climb as in malta we don't have any tracks bar the drag strip which i'm not very much keen on.

the car about 45 days prior to my biggest mistake:

I sold mine because I was sick of all the little issues I had with it. Not massive issues, but when it is your daily it becomes a pain in the rectum.

In the end it was running 275hp on a TD04L at 1.4 bar.

I liked driving the car and the boost was brill. Bang for ya buck it is like no other, but I wanted more reliability, comfort and something that did not look so dated.

Hee hee, sure does.

Ha, none taken.

If you are talking HP/torque you would be right.

But in every other aspect..well your wrong :)

Looks better
handles better
More reliable
Better build
Better interior.....

I could go one, but I won't. Got enough Honda hating threads on this forum.

That was just my opinion ;)

To be fair, they don't look too dated from the front..it's the backend that always used to bother me and thats the bit most got to see ;)

only things i miss from owning starlets is how damn cheap they are to run and how reliable they are. A fair few things i dislike about them but i will always have a soft spot in my heart for starlets :)
