ermm tim you dont have to have a dv, the stock recirc valve will cope perfectly with 1bar. mine did

As ricky said, will probably creep up to 1bar if its set to 0.8...

Stock mani should be ok for 0.8bar/1.0bar imo, uprated would always be better, but its more for performance than anything else. I think the wear and tear to the 3rd cylinder (caused by the restriction in stock mani) is probably negligible. Also, if you're going to run 0.8bar, port the wastegate or just run the full 1.0bar :)

Just my 2 cents :)

*edit* my stock recirc also worked fine with upped boost :) Just got a little chatter occasionally FMIC is a strongly recommended, mani is optional, imo.

it still wont be ok unfortunately, i been there done that and got the t-shirt

i cracked piston 3 and broke the piston rings in cylinder 3 because of the restriction.

its ok for a short period, and it will mean you cant rag the car around.

pete if you find out what i need txt me. remember im not looking to keep up with you and elaine (even though our battle was close the other day) i just want something shinny and will do job i really aint bothered bowt mani.

ill order what we need once you have found out and set a date for fittin i trust you to fit this stuff pete i have always have had a garage do it so no more accidentle accidents with bumper

elaine, it helps if you dont have the spring tightened all the way so you get turbo flutter, cos the dv dont open :homer:


but yes you dont need a dv. the stock one is fine
