put my boost up to around 0.9 bar and i seem to be hitting fuel cut every so often any one no reason why or how to get around it ? apart from the obvious reason of a fcd :)

Lower the boost, fuel cut is set at about 0.85 bar, lower it to 0.7, or risk doing engine damage.

watch & wait

in that case mate, why not get the td04 kit then re-work your fueling then..? as you've been told already, you don't want to mess with your fueling unprofessionally. you are more than likely to injure your engine if you do this.. :/
deal..? :)

suppose does make more sence to get td04 kit then up the boost , will probably have a remap after fitted the td04 kit , will a remap sort the fueling etc ? or do i need to take it to some one else?

I get this question a lot.

One thing I maintain is that you should never fit a component without understanding how it works and why you need it. All too often I've seen engines damaged by owners failing on both points. My advice is to do a bit of research before upping boost. Fuelcut isn't a healthy thing to hit but the fact it is still there could be saving your engine already mate.

in-built boost controller

good man squidge218.. if you are a man that is.. :) understanding concepts is important. very important.. and you know you could always use your right foot to control boost.. :D

squidge if you want to raise boost, you gotta make sure the fueling is right to do this you need either an ecu like your dastek and get it mapped, or the cruder cheaper way of gettin a fuel pressure regulator, and a hks or smiliar fuel cut defender. Then you need to visit a tuners and get them to setup and check all is fueling fine or just put it on wideband. As jay said its important to understand more about components before fitting or playing around with them.

It wont cost much at all to get it sorted/checked on a fpr & fcd. What mods do you have currently? 200bhp can be achieved on the stock turbo but theres more to think about than just upping the boost
Your uni chip should remove fuelcut.
